Participants will define “autonomy” and the importance for learners
Participants will identify autonomy building skills for learners they support
Participants will use the BACB ethical code to identify important skills to learners in leading independent and autonomous lives
Participants will demonstrate the use of the Empowering Autonomy: ASAP or other skill assessment tools
Participants will identify why fostering autonomy relates to writing socially valid plans of care
Anyone who is seeking to learn more about assessment to support neurodivergent learners including, but not limited to behaviour analysts, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, students seeking their degree in applied behavior analysis or psychology, and students seeking their BCBA® or BCaBA® certification.
Yes, if you are a BCBA or BCaBA, you can receive learning (previously type-2) CEU credits.
BCBAs need 32 CEUs (of which, 4 CEUs must cover ethics for all certificants; 3 CEUs in supervision for supervisors) every 2 years. See https://www.bacb.com/maintain/continuing-education/ for more details.
